4G93 SOHC fastest ever

PR spec ftmfw. Just imagine where we would be if our modification laws weren't so *poo*

I think even if our laws were not so tight I really do not think that we could achieve what they are or have been doing... they work with what is in front of them they are not afraid to swap parts out from other cars - i think the other big advantage is that they have a really good understanding as to how to reflash ecus...

What I would love to do is get my "project car " running and then maybe look further into swapping out the ECU on my CH for a "PR special" make a few minor mechanical changes and see where that takes me I think all I would lose is the cruise control and immobiliser... and the swap over of parts in terms of cost would be under $500 gain in power over 50hpatw

Far out thats pretty good hp for a low price hey. What mech changes would you be making?? Apart from like Intake, pulley, exhaust, cams etc.

theres no reason why we cant do this at all lol, people just prefer to do up there fully sicko vs commonwhores.

People would be less afraid to experiment with the capabilities of their cars if they were not worried about getting a yellow sticker. Look at the asti's in russia, malaysia, and central america....those places have fk all in terms of defective vehicle standards and produce some of the craziest setups. To build outside the box you have to live (drive) outside the box.

But yes they also have to make do with what they have got as all lesser developed countries..which helps forge stronger relationships between enthusiasts (something that lacks here)

I don't think it's that they're so far ahead of us, it's more that the serious builders are more focused on cars with better capabilities. Why would they bother building a 10 second lancer when they can build 6 second rotors and V8's?

I talk to alot of the guys in PR and I do not think any of them consider themselves to be serious builders of cars they are simply enthusists that work with what they have in front of them they do not have mass amounts of custom made stuff they recycle all of the parts they have - yes they may have to modify a part to make it work and there craftmanship is at a high level because they have always had to make do with what is in front of them... they use our version of the CC alot and get some amazing results they look at a car and say wow lets make this work lets do it - were as we may look at a car and say too hard... they do not have the money to do what we would have they are very much hands on and help out a mate and learn how to do it, there workshops might be in the loungeroom of there house... or outside on the back porch, and yes some of the cars give the impression that they may come from a big workshop because they have big stickers on there cars but you may find that one peson that has done the tuning for the car has some stickers so he places them on the car so he might get some work.

I dont think that the V8 are as popular over there as they are here.

The Lancer/Mirages/Technica/Asti are very popular and are in abundance... which is why they use these cars

Look a new Record 11:25 All motor 4g93 In a sedan!

Yeh that car has a built 4G69 motor. The exhaust comes out of the bonnet aswell!

From what I understand its more the culture there thats alot more surrounded by drag racing hence they produce alot of really fast drag cars that in the majority of countries no-one would really want to modify to a large extent (one example being the lancers/technica's there). I think Australia has some of the best drag cars in the world but things like the laws, availability of drag days and costs of stuff prevent people from really entering into the sport in a regular way.

Anyhow, that 4G93T is fast :D

Love the flamage on the 2nd to 3rd gear change XD

But imagine the run that thing could do with awd traction.........
