Hey guys, I have recently bought a 2007 Mitsubishi lancer es ch limited edition (2.4l) for $5000 AUD and first of all I'm so excited I got this car. It is real zippy and I love it. It is my first car and id love to do it up and make it look nice and sound nice. I'm posting in this thread because I need help with the exhaust. As of now, it sounds alright but it is basically all engine noise. I'd love to make it sound really nice and I need tips on how to do this. Does anyone know some good exhaust systems for this particular model, or does anyone have any universal mufflers, catalytic converters that would be cheaper but make my car sound a lot better. I am basically looking for any tips regarding how to make my car sound mint. Thank you guys

Easiest to start with would be a 2.5 inch cat back, a mandrel bent system would be best for flow, but would be expensive, but seriously all you need is a standard mild steel bent 2.5 inch with a decent rear muffler like the old proven Lukey, magnaflow, or even hurricane 2.5 “ muffler, you could just change the muffler, but then if the sound may not be what you want, still won’t flow as good as cat back, then more $$ to start over again.

Welcome to the forum - always good to have more Lancer representation :) Congratulations on your purchase!
It would help if we knew your location so we could recommend a reliable exhaust specialist...

Sorry about that. I live on the Sunshine Coast in Australia. But if anyone has any websites where I can deliver parts to my house that would helpful as well

As you're in Qld, I can recommend Rob Bliss Exhausts at Geebung. I have used them a few times and found their service and pricing to be pretty good. They do quite a bit of performance work and it would be worth a call to discuss the mods recommended by wagonmaster.
