4g63 (Evo7) engine in a 2001 mirage hatchback

Hey team!

Alright so I’ve done some digging and found a few forums and pages with info on swapping the 4g15 for the 4g63.

I want to make sure I have everything I need before I go ahead and organise to buy. I have a pretty chad guy who’s got everything I need and ready for postage.

To do this swap I’ll need..
- Complete engine
- gearbox
- ecu
- wiring harness
The guy is also doing me a deal with
- intake manifold
- exhaust manifold
- turbo

Is there anything else I’m missing here?
 
Piping no.. but I can fabricate that myself. That’s not a Hassle.

I saw a forum with welding the box. Not sure if it’s 100%.. but my dads been a boiler maker for over 50+ years so I’m sure him and I could find a good route.
 
as long as youre aware you gotta do something, i think thats probably it... outside of replacing the clutch, fluid, pipes, uprated fuel pump


evo5/6 engine mounts are probably required too.
 
Would be also worth double checking if crossmember in the mirage will be ok and not fowl the oil pan etc.
