I recently acquired a 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer CH with a 2.4L 4G69 MIVEC engine, and I am excited to begin a comprehensive upgrade project. I aim to repair the damaged areas of the paint and consider a complete repaint or wrap to refresh the overall look. Additionally, I am looking for high-quality aftermarket rims to enhance both aesthetics and performance, and I’m interested in adding a front lip and side skirts to improve aerodynamics and visual appeal. Inside, upgrading to more comfortable and stylish seats or seat covers is a priority, along with enhancing the sound system with a new head unit and upgraded speakers for superior audio quality. I would also like to incorporate custom gauges and LED lighting for a modern touch. For performance, I plan to upgrade to a performance exhaust to improve sound and efficiency, consider lowering springs or coilovers to enhance handling and improve the vehicle's stance, and install a cold air intake to boost performance and engine responsiveness. If anyone has recommendations for reliable sources for these parts or any advice on the upgrades, I would greatly appreciate your input.

For wheels, jump on market place and get something 15-16” diameter. 6-7” wide and offset around the +10 to +30 range. 4x114.3 is your PCD

If you want to go low and stay comfortable get the VRX shock absorbers (they are well priced for new replacements) and pair them with VRX springs (used shouldn’t cost much) OR for a bit more low, get kings or tein springs.

You can get coilovers, but it’s unnecessary, expensive and you’ll loose out on comfort.

For your body work, get your parts together and get painting/wrapping all at once. Marketplace will net you some bargains if you’re patient. Look for VRX parts locally, or aftermarket kits like DROID. Carmate also has some bits, they have an ebay store too.

Any seats to suit an EVO 7-9 will bolt in and meet ADR safety requirements. CT9A chassis (hmm that code is very similar to the lancer chassis code CS7A….)

Head unit… I hate to say it but those temu / wish dot com looking ones are pretty good value for money. Big screen, carplay and its all plug n play. A bit different from the era I started in but man, can’t say that doing things the hard way is better.

Audio is definitely a rabit hole, so set a budget, get a head unit, speakers, amp and then sub/amp. Do it in that order, and once you’re done, you’ll probably want to upgrade the quality of what you’ve got, so you get to do it all again.

Thanks for the advice on wheels, suspension, and bodywork! I appreciate the suggestions about getting 15-16” diameter wheels with the right offset and considering VRX shock absorbers and springs for comfort. I’ll definitely check out the Marketplace for parts and look into EVO 7-9 seats that fit well.

my audio system is a bit screwed like i have wireless carplay screen auto-car stereo with 1080p-backup-camera because my head unit is f*ck*ed
so i have to connect to the carplay screen

what specific upgrades and modifications for my ps 2 would you recommend to make my car both fast and loud?

Nothing meaningful you can do about fast in a straight line unless you turbo it.

Fast around corners:
Tyres
Wider wheels to accommodate said tyres
Front/rear strut braces
Vrx suspension or coilovers
Upgraded sway bars

Noise:
2.5" catback exhaust with any muffler except a cannon
Proper pod filter setup if you want induction noise
