4G15 ECU running 4G93 engine

Hi guys,

I'm very confused right now. I just sent the ECU I've been running my 4G93 swapped mirage on to RPW for a tune, and he's told me the part number is for a 4G15 ECU. I've cross checked this - it's true. He was able to tune it just fine and suggested that somebody switched out the 4G15 internals for 4G93 internals.

Has anybody heard of this before, just out of curiosity? I got my ECU out of a wrecked car with a 4G93 engine, and the engine from somewhere else. All runs fine otherwise. I'd assume you can't run a 4G15 ECU with a 4G93.

The internal board is identical, same with the the Evo 5/6 units, its literally just the plastic case/cover that can have a different sticker.

The 4g15/g63/g93 software on teh ECU is what will allow it to run whatever engine you have in place
