Got about 10V across the injector plug.
54 is immob system... that's so weird... how do we fix that then
we are 1 million percent sure its the right key (never took it off the ring from the spare)Yewwwwwww haha, i love being right (so far)
Are you 100000000% the key is the right one and you havent mixed it with the other one? try swapping the key and imob (and barrel)
we are 1 million percent sure its the right key (never took it off the ring from the spare)
we are a billion percent sure its the correct barrel and key reader from the lancer
we are pretty certain its the right ecu
and are certain its the correct immob however we will try the other
We've tried the mirage one and their is no damage we took it off with care and it looks okThe only other thing i can think of right now, is that the key reader is damaged (if you said you've swapped in the lancer one?), which would mean it wont be able to read anything so it thinks its broken.

is there a fuse or relay we need to swap for the ecu or immob?
there is quite a large number of things unplugged in the interior. do we need to plug in any to work?Nup its literally Imob, and the key to match. ECU obviously too, as 1.5 runs different to the 1.8L. Everything else was more or less plug and play true?

RIP.
Well its giving a imob error, so its something relating to that. I bet its the key/key reader not being good, but without being in person i cant tell. You may need to get a new set (key, barrel, imob and ecu) to confirm, but that should only set you back like $50-100. You can put the car back together in the mean time thou
so as the key and barrel are ok would replacing the key reader with a wreckers one work? One more thing to try, put the key in, and turn it to IGN dont start it, and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Turn it off, and then try to start it. Apparently thats a way to "reset" the imob and pair it again with its old key.
OBD is throwing an Imob code, so the ECU is not getting a proceed signal from the imob (the imob unit reads the key using the key reader). If something is damaged along the line (e.g the key or the key reader, etc) then it wont be able to read successfully, and it will throw an error, and prevent the car from starting.

Assuming somehow that we broke both even tho we were gentle
