Thanks for the add. From Trinidad and Tobago

Have a 1.3l CB1A (cc type) converted to 1800 turbo and evo body panels (#project9630). Been a 19 year project so far and still a work in progress.

Also own an evo 7 as well (#EVO701).

Gday and welcome mate!

Any more pics of the build of the CB/CC? Theyre getting pretty rare in Australia now, always good to see how others play with them overseas

Yeah I have a few. My first car. Went through the boy racer and fast and furious days to something more mature.

Initially had it converted to a 4g93 SOHC motor in 2004, then in 2007 that motor failed. So it was a toss up between the 4g63t from a VR4, or the drop in option of a 4g93t. As u see I went with the latter.

Had it parked for several years after it being down for a failed fuel pump... and between life and maintaining the evo, I had little time or funds to do anything. But in 2018 I decided it was time to get it going again... big challenge when our currency exchange rate and customs makes us end up paying 2... sometimes 3 times a listed price.

But converted the car to 5 lug using eclipse hubs pressed into the evo spindles, used CS5W Ralliart rear system, Fortune Auto coilovers and Ultra racing bars

Parts now are rare to find so scoring stuff is an accomplishment... such as just the lip from an evo 2 and evo 3 skirts. Was also lucky to get some gsr cm5a seats as well.

Still have some issues I'm fighting such as trying to find the right axle shafts as the 1.3 one on the right is too long, csusing the car to shudder when turning left... and just retrofitted factory ac lines but the 1.3 never came aircon. Got the condenser fan working but I have no idea how to get the rad fan to work with it as well.

And one or two other things that are difficult to find such as a 1.8 fwd flywheel.

Eventually I may save up in time and consider to do the AWD motor and drivetrain, but the cost of parts and labor to do it, it's about the cost of an evo 5 or 6 here if you want it done correctly. So for now just slowly trying to get the small stuff good to where I can have it comfortably running.
