hey all i have a evo 6 coupe and want to look into upgrading the turbo and boost, basically just wondering/curious as to what has worked for you ?

So my 3 questions are :

1. What size turbo you have fitted to your 4G63
2. What power figures are you getting from this turbo
3. How much boost are you running to get these figures

stock TME turbo.

good upgrade is going to a 9 turbo.

theres even a 9 'TME' turbo built by GTPumps

TD06SL2 20G, forged 4g63t, tomei 260/260 cams, 15psi got me 182kw at all 4 wheels, if I was still fwd I would say I would have made around 220kw at the front wheels

My turbo can handle around 28psi and capable of around 450hp

GT3071r .86, standard 4g63t with cometic head gasket with ARP studs, basic fuel and exhaust mods with standalone microtech. Made 199kw on 18psi with a safe tune

I have the Evo 8 MR titanium turbo 10:5 running at 17psi on a Haltech Platinum sport netted me a healthy 262hp @ all 4.

My brother has a GTX3076R, 28psi on pump 98 BP ultimate, Haltech E8 and got 328.4kw (440hp) at all 4 wheels

I will be running a GT3076R, 30psi on E85, Haltech E8.... let you know the power once its all tuned, hoping to see around 373kw (500hp) :geek:

So basically you just let your brother go first, and then try to slightly beat him. Sibling rivalry at its finest :p

Yes

Alot of people are using the Foeced Performance turbos recently. The FPgreen has shown great results with the 4g63 being a bolt on turbo and punching 300kw 28psi with eflex fuel, and with little lag at all. Precision has come into the market also with their 6266 and for the racer guys the 6466 which has seen 500kw out of a 2lt e85 38psi.
The question u need to ask is not what power, its how do u want your car to respond to the chosen turbo.
Best dollar at the moment is an evo9 turbo with results seeing 277kw 28psi eflex fuel or the evo 6.5TME turbo making 260kw and a great early spool which on the street would be absolutely awesome
These are just some options
