Vac hose removal

Hey all I’m in need of a quick word on if I can or not but I’m wondering if I can remove or relocate the vacuum hose from my intake to the cam cover as I won’t to change out the stock pipe work to an aftermarket set up but not sure if I can remove the hose without any major issues

The cam cover/crackcase needs at least one vac pulling on it. One is normally from intake manifold and has a checkvalve to only pull vac, and another feed is the intake pipe (that youve circled) - when youre at WOT, the intake mani is at 0inhm/0vac, so the intake pipe source is the next best source. You can remove/replace it, but its somewhat recommended to keep it in some form if you can.

For reference, i keep the line on my turbocharged 4G93. The circled line feeds pulls from the cam cover into the turbo inlet so there is a strong vac most of the time. When its in boost, the vac is stronger (cause the turbo is sucking more air to compress), and the intake mani vac line has the checkvalve which blocks boosted air from getting into the crank.
