Turbo'ing your lancer information

Anyone running a td04-L 16g off a rex? you can get prefab manifolds for the 93/94 to fit the suby flange
Not yet.

The biggest issue you'll face is the turbo dump-front pipe to be made up, but if its any td04 from any rex, you should be okay as its not a frankenstein-hybrid turbo which needs custom parts made for it

Hey sorry for the question think the answer is NO! Though. I have a ce mirage with a 4g93. Can you run the standard 4g93 Ecu with a turbo? Got bigger injectors, pump, turbo, clutch, piping, cooler, boost controller. Ecu is last step. Would afm work fitted after turbo?

ECU can be reflashed to run cm5a tune if it's plastic case (I think it's the plastic case ones).
AFM needs to be before the turbo, not after.

what clutches are people running once they chase the turbo path? i would think that an upgrade from the standard one is necessary.

I had a Exedy HD one that lasted me about 12months or so.
Then upgraded to one from HENS with a FTO flywheel.
Not sure of the specs, @Trondabron might know.

Evo 3 Clutch Disc with FTO pressure plate, i dunno about ARCs, but mine has been re sprung to like 750kgs or something.

I asked for mine to be like yours, So I guess they are probably the same or close to.

Nope, 4g15 has paired exhaust ports on 1&2, and 3&4 (known as Siamese ports). 4g93 has individual exhaust ports

I've never even heard of that! Are they possible to source or would it be best to go custom? Is there anything you can or can't do differently because of the siamese ports when it comes to fabricating a 1.5 manifold?

Possibly to source yes, i think theres a couple Malaysian cast iron versions. Going custom isnt too bad either, because as the ports are paired, theres less mucking around to get it to work (sort of less work involved), but it wont be pretty. Or cheap, with the cost being the main reason people dont do it.

Oh I see; managed to find a photo of a custom mani that works on that siamese principle... Looks so strange
Might see if I can find an exhaust flange plate thingy and go custom, otherwise find one and pay the price =P cheers

they arent actually paired dude. it is a seperate port.
the factory as well as aftermarket headers are also seperated.
Its the cheapy chinese cast one from ebay that have it combined. They are junk and dont fit well.

Here is one i did 6 years ago.
115-125kw at the wheels. Adaptronic ecu with my plug in play loom.
Simple 4-2-1 thickwall SCH40 steampipe manifold. I still have the jig and prototype before I did the one in the photo.
Full AC and PS trigger from ECU to increase idle speed like the stock vehicle.
Garrett GT2860 ball bearing
275cc injectors.
Goes harder than stock cm5a swap which only make 105 to 110kw at 10psi

Made a fun car street car and track.
Anyone who has been one of the setups Ive done can comment on the fun factor :)
