My Lancer mirror is crap and I have a replacement OEM in excellent condition not peeling around all the edges nice mirror. But I can't for the life of me work out how to remove it. I removed the mirror as per instructions from the factory workshop manual. that's all the instruction there is. Now on the old mirror it has a bracket which is how it attaches to the button on the windscreen. the replacement i have doesn't have this bracket and there is a huge screw holding it in but it won't turn, same on the new mirror screw won't budge, i don't want to damage the phillips head so I need some help to get these parts swapped if this is how it's meant to be done. all the mirrors i've seen on ebay are sold without the bracket so you must be able to swap them over somehow. Got a replacement from the wreckers and see how I go fitting it.

So all I did was use two flat screw drivers each side to push the metal clip in. Then pushed the plate down and with a little convincing it slid off.
