Official too lazy to search, noob friendly thread.

WOW thanks lol. Unfortunately won't be able to do cold start (he's bringing the car to me as I have no transport) or put it on a hoist but will definitely be looking at CV boots as I've been caught before.
Apparently the car has been well serviced for the last 6 years and will only need a couple of tyres to pass pink slip.
The car is very cheap with about 2 months rego but have only seen a drivers side pic so I'll see on Wednesday if its any good.
I'll definitely be looking for rust and listening for rattles all around the car.
One thing I'll definitely be looking forward to is cup holders, cruise control and aircon if it works (been a year and 3 cars since I had any of them lol)

what tyre pressures are yall running on your ce coupes that are sitting on 205 semis? do you run different pressure for street vs track?

iirc the door card says 29psi for the stock 185s fwiw

I usually run around 34/36 on the street, mainly so I don't wear the inside as much (-2.5° front camber lol) and will aim for about 32 hot on track.

If im doing a battery relocation to the boot, does it have to be in a full enclosure or can it just be fixed / secured down? (im not sure of legal requirements)

In 2011 in NSW it had to be full enclosed but the engineer passed the car without being vented. Not sure if its a requirement now though.

CE lancer coupe/rage /sedans.
Anyone know if all the seatbelts are the same as an Evo6?
One of mine stopped retracting so i was going to just replace it but didn't want to pay the $10,000 for an evo one if one from the other CE range fits

Need sedan belts from any ce IIRC. Then hope the buckle fits. Don't see why it wouldn't since I've never heard of anyone swapping buckles when bolting in evo seats

If your belt is black, that might be the evo tax. Far as I'm aware all Lancer belts are grey.

Apparently, an old trick is to pull out the belt fully, and then give it a good wash/wipe down with scorching hot soapy water. Pat it dry and let it air dry the rest, and then use a light coat of a silicon spray to "lube" it back up (the silicon should be wiped off too, cause it'll collect dirt again).

I plan to do this to my belts, but theyre starting to fray so i may just buy the new set from Repco/Supercheap/Autobarn.

sounds like a plan.
I will give that a go and see if it helps. My belts conditions are fine i think its when it was resprayed since it was fully stripped the interior got filled with loads of dust which probably didnt help and it made everything all gritty

I believe donki told me that repco ones are black out of the box which would be handy cause my grey ones suck eggs

Hey peeps, having trouble finding any info on what models came out with a factory LSD.

Anyone able to help out?
