Hey all,

Been lurking on here for a few months since i got my lancer and figured i'd finally make an account and get posting.

I've got a CE Lancer (Its a GLS Sedan in NZ which I'm pretty sure is the same as CE).
Its a 1.5 4G15 carb, runs well enough, has some flatspots and guzzles fuel :D

It's not going to be a 1.5 much longer though.

Fairly soon I will be putting a 1.8L SOHC (4g93) in it, I plan on making a fairly detailed build thread with all my mistakes and successes.

I'll be running megasquirt (MS2 w/ MSExtra F/W) for the ECU because I cbf with the immobilizer stuff, and I have good experience with it.

I'm also wondering what you guys would actually be interested in me posting in terms of the build.

Would you guys and gals be interested in detailed tuning related info when I've got the engine in.
I'll eventually be slapping a turbo on so I can put up some good info on ecu based boost control if anyone's interested.

I'm much more electrically inclined than I am mechanically (typically have my brother for that stuff) so I'll be doing a lot of learning in terms of the specifics on the mechanical side of the conversion and if anyone has any tips i'd love to hear them.
I've already got most of the electrical side planned out and if anyone's interested in that I'll post it up.

I haven't dropped the fuel tank and am wondering if anyone knows if the carby tank is the same as the efi tank with a different pickup or totally different tank, I'll be running A/N lines for high pressure and using the carby lines as return, but just unsure about the tank...
 
Swap everything fuel related to efi, don't try to reuse anything. Just... trust me. If you can find a donor wreck, strip that.
