My old 300hp 4g93 needs some lovin!

Looks like the head and pistons are saved. I did get bigger valve reliefs machined when I had the pistons made last year, looks like my calculations paid off and I now have a non-interference head.
Phew.
Cant find a new oil pump, so Im leaving the old one there. It is missing all the ribs under the crank timing pulley. They dont seem to be there for strength, I think they are there to stop the timing belt from jumping.

Thanks Michael, thats awesome.
I think that last one was the turbo GTi golf. He had work done to it apparently.
The Yellow HSV didnt know what hit him. Ha Ha.
Its so hard to see whats going on in the dark. You did well.
Thats why I put the Knight rider lights on the front.
Thanks again.
I will be getting a new clutch before I go again.

YEAH BABY!!!

Pretty stoked with that.
The 3 numbers are the boost settings.
242 is your normal street driving
307 is for when you need to get past the bloke that spent $20k on his Falcodore.
322 is for well making tyre smoke at 100ks an hour.
Tuner thought it would get more. Fuel pump run out of puff and the turbo isnt far behind.

coming back to this power curve...
did you have a cam in this motor, how big is it?

is the plenum the standard item?

Its got a cam, dont know the specs. there are no markings on it. All I know is it came with the pistons and rods and springs etc when the engine was originally built by Justins brother in law from Blacktrack. All the engine parts came from Puerto Rico.
The plenum is stock, but port matched and polished. The throttle body is larger, not sure what its off or if its just been bored out.

Appears to be approx 0.9mm extra lift from the stock cam according to my rather dodgy measuring at the time I had it out about a year ago.
not sure about duration.

the power looks like mine, easier to see on low boost but basically just holds the same power throughout the top end. which mine didn't really do with the smaller cam, so i think now the restriction has moved to the runners.
you said you tried more boost and it didn't make any more power so turbo could be the main cause but the plenum might help you make more power on less boost...

WOW!!
I cant believe its been over 2 years since Ive posted on this thread.
Well, its still ripping skids, still dropping jaws, still making grown men giggle like little schoolgirls whenever they ride in it.
The KAAZ diff is absolutely amaaaaazing, but, I will say they take a LOT of k's to run in, and many oil changes, but now, it is so predictable and stable in corners it is unbelievable. Thanks Henry!!
I have done nothing to this car except service it and drive it like I stole it for the last 4 years, and it still makes me smile like nothing else.
Here is a pic of it right now, tonight. IT JUST WORKS!!
It does 7 to 10 thousand Ks a year and I cant break it. It is still on the same clutch I put in it 4 years ago.
I change the engine oil, gearbox oil and output shafts every 5000 Ks and it just keeps going.
Ill be at roll racing this Friday night. First time back in over 2 years.
Please come and say Gday if your there.

Hey Ben, I´m from Newcastle (now in Arcadia Vale) but haven´t seen your car around before...i´ll keep an eye out. We go roll racing regularly at SMSP too so I’ll come say hello if I see you. Chris

Cant get the pics uploaded!!!
Damn you Apple with your dodgy file extensions!!

I screen shot the taken photo.
Apples do usually do a multi burst photo, so it makes it ridiculously big.
The screenshot will be at a reduced size ;)
