Multiple Questions

Hey everyone! This is my first time posting on the forums, always been a massive lancer nerd since I learned how to drive stick and I have an 06 ES lancer and was thinking of doing an engine swap to something with a bit more power like an TJ series Magna engine, I figured I'd check here to see what would fit in the gap of the old engine.

So my first question is: can I do an engine swap and put a 6G72 engine in the car shell and if so how much room will there be to add anything extra? (Turbo for instance) and if that won't fit what would be some suggestions?

Second Question is: I have an EVO 8 Stainless steel I believe 4" exhaust kit from one of my mates who didn't need it, will this fit or will there need to be some splicing and welding involved?

Thank you and cheers!

ill answer the second one first, no it wont bolt on, it will require a decent amount of work to fit and not only that, its far too big for your car.
if your car is 2.4L you'd want a 2.5" exhaust (the whole pipe, not the tip diameter)
if your car is 2.0L then a 2.25 or 2.5 is acceptable.

if youre just refering to a rear muffler then sure, get an exhaust shop to modify it to suit.

and the v6 swap:
short answer: yes it will fit. and turbo too.

long answer:
6g72 is a waste of time. 6g75 is the only Gen2 6G worth dealing with. and GTO/3000GT 6g72TT is backwards so wont fit.

i put a 6g75 into my lancer. have a read from here. it requires a lot of knowledge and a good amount of effort.

I haven't had a good look at the exhaust myself yet, I will be doing that in a few days.
I think the whole pipe itself is a 3" with the tip being 4"
I'm a 2.4L aswell
I'l have to get a few photos off my buddy and put it up here cause I've never done and exhaust before so I don't know what to look for and so on
