Long time listener.... First time caller
Have been around here for a while, just never posted, always just lurking for info XD.
About me, Im Aaron I'm 32 and from northern suburbs of Brisbane QLD, ex mechanic (Holden, Honda and Mazda workshops) also had a short stint in motorsport some years ago (would love to get back into it but argh MUNNY! mayybe some day). Lived and breathed cars from about 6months old. Whilst I am technically not on the tools anymore I still carry out regular services and other work from home, including custom fibre work, headlight retrofits....list goes on.

Now I'm just old and boring and drive a *poo*ty Mirage, hopefully not *poo*ty for too much longer.
I now do youth work and photography, so do alot of driving during the day hiking clients places and just general getting to shoots etc, figured I would buy a small car, a little bubble that I wouldn't need to care about and just drive it till its wheels fell off, how wrong was I.
On first Impressions the car had a good inlet note (pod on it) and seemed to ride well, so I bought it.

Day one I decided to take it for a belt up "a" mountain, whilst it struggled through the straights to make any speed at all, It took the corners like a boss and provided a drive that reminded me very much of an S2000 i used to own, from there I could say the rest is history, but I slowly found myself enjoying this little car, wayyyy more than I thought I ever would and placing other projects on the back burner.

First thing I did was rid the car of what I will refer to as retarded attempts at wiring, after that was cleaned up and re-loomed a new radio and front and rear cameras went in, but OH LOOK! the radio changes colours.... so... rest of dash need to be able to do so aswell, so next up was ordering a cluster with tacho and a set of clear dials for it and then strategically placing RGB LED's throughout and strapping a wifi controller to the back of it so I could have it change colours, (will share pics at some point)
After the radio was in, I quickly swapped out the 15" wheels for some 18's (merely for the looks of them, would prefer a 17") the thought of making a custom lip kit for it also crossed my mind at this point as the 18's set it off the road a lot higher and I wanted to bring it back down, instead, I got "sorta" lazy and ordered a Honda front lip and crafted up some sideskirts.

This lame work has taken a few months only, A side project exists for it currently with a Quad Bi Xenon HID headlight set currently in build (pics when can)
I also have a 4G63T out of an Evo 7 sitting in the shed begging for more time on the road and planned for this Little Rage.

Jees I dunno If I even know how to forum anymore.
Thanks for the read. Would love to get to know more people who know these little cars inside and out whilst nutting them out myself.

Decent intro, i like it already.

Welcome to the forums bud, plentyyyy of info here as you may know but not a tonne on the evo gear, and a small but active userbase too

Hi and welcome.
Please post updates with the Evo 7 motor inside the engine bay.
Will do, understandably I'm a lil reluctant to put the car off of the road to do so untill im info loaded, parts loaded and ready to rumble.

Good to see you at the failed golf meet. Looking forward to what you do with it

thought i would update this with some mages/video's etc.
Nothing has really moved forward at this point with the engine, I am more worried about electrical plugs and whether they will correctly plug into the internal loom.
This week I picked up some parts to upgrade to electric windows, so will be onto that later this week.

anyways, here's some links for the headlights I have been building.
They are quad HID hi/low projectors, with switchback LED parker/indicators and colour changing LED's inside each projector.
They run on a separate wifi signal to the interior lights which also already change colour.

I have a various layout of images and videos I have taken along the way, can't imagine that it would be handy as a how to guide cus well a build like this isn't for the feint hearted, but it shows all the custom built framing, adjusters and fiberglass etc that's gone into it.
Will collate and share them at some point, if I end up posting them separately then I'll share a link here.
Thanks for the comments too =)
