Lift kit or coil overs

Hey guys and girls I’ve got a 98 ce lancer I need to lift about 1/2-1” and don’t know what option is the best way to go, I have been told that coil overs cans increase ride height but I’m not sure and would like to hear back from you guys

p.s I put a full body kit on my car and it’s stupidly low on stock suspension and 16” wheels I.e a lot of scrapping leaving slight slopped driveways
 
I never got a side on picture before fitting the coil overs. but this is it on FTO shockies and Kings "superlow" -40mm lowered springs and sat that high on 17's
