intermittent hesitation

hey gang ive had this really random and intermittent pause / hesitation going on! at first i thought it was dirty fuel but it wasnt. when its really bad it will stall out at idle when driving its not so bad over 70kls Now heres the thing it does it mostly when its raining or damp out
So this is what ive done so far! Drained the tank and ran several doses of tank and injector cleaner through. Then checked all plugs none were Fat or Lean (it dosent sound like a misfire anyway as theres no 'poop' through the exhaust) got a mech to put a scan tool on even though there was no CEL and so it come up with no codes
TIA.

I'm very very confused; you can read plugs, but you cant work out the hesitation?

hey mate not the kind of response i would have imagined from an admin? ive come here for help
so when a spark plug miss fires fuel goes into the chamber but doesnt get burt so the plug ends up 'fat or wet"
which is very easy to diagnose the opposite to that is lean etc my problem is in the op thanks

There are more than 30 threads on the forums with "hesitation" posted at least once in them. Could have saved yourself some time if you searched first and asked questions later.
I'm aware; fuel is volatile so by the time you rip them out of the head its partially evaporated enough to skew your results. The 4G93 are electrically controlled ignition without a knock sensor feedback loop, so they wouldnt be "fat or lean" like it was called in the 1990s, only wet or dry - you can test this yourself with the car at idle unplug one of the injectors and see how badly it'll run. Fat or lean is generally referring to how advance or retarded the timing. The scan tool will not pick up a missfire because there is no knock sensor, and no knock sensor feedback loop in the car.

What does your wideband gauge say when it hesitates?
Are the spark plugs clean?
Whats the spark plug gap?
Amount of kms on the engine?
Injectors in good and working condtions/any buildup on the injector itself?
What is the base idle timing?

Also, being that it happens more when its wet outside, and being a 4G93 with a MAF sensor, i'll put $50 on it being related to the MAF sensor as the issue.

4g93 sohc mate a breaking down coil would cause plug problems at least be spitting a bit of fuel out the back
No car runs badly enough to let liquid fuel out the back, even the Ferarri's and Lamborghini's where flames come out only do so because its a very short exhaust combined with very high exhaust gas flow - this is also not liquid fuel, its the last little bit of the combustion happening at the exhaust tips

Lol nothing came up with intermittent hesitation on the search. Thanks I’ll keep goin with that info and see what happens
