New to the forum... as of today I'm the proud owner of not only my first Lancer, but my first Mitsubishi.
Looking forward to exploring the forums and learning from everyone's experience.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums , heaps of info on here, if you can’t find something, just ask.
What Model Mitsubishi did you decide on, post some pics and give us a brief rundown on what plans you have.

Thanks :)
It's a 2002 CE sedan, 4G93, white. Got it super cheap from the auctions. I purchased it yesterday, but the tow was delayed so I don't even have it home yet! Pics to come once it arrives.
My current daily drive is waaaaay too thirsty, so the Lancer in the immediate future is going to be simply a more economical car. Long-term I would like to do a turbo kit and upgrade suspension etc, maybe a proper paint job. Right now, it's just getting it roadworthy. Don't worry, it runs! I have until Feb when the other rego runs out to get her going and decent.

So it's finally here after the tow being delayed twice!
Gave it a clean out. Got rid of the cigarette butts and mystery stains. Battery is toast, but we fed her some power and all of the lights work. Even the A/C is cold!
Runs and starts ok. Going to do a quick run into town for some bits and then come back and wash the outside. While Husband was checking the fluids & under the hood, I polished the headlights... important stuff.

As she was yesterday, straight off the truck. Since been washed thoroughly inside and out, and a new battery installed.
There are a few scrapes and scratches about the place; you can see one of the big ones on the rear bumper. There's another one on the right back door and a little dent on the front left door, as well as some minor rust on the pointier edges of the bodywork.
I have someone in the family coming to have a look at it this week to give me a quote for rust removal and a basic respray. It'd been sitting outside in a yard for so long that algae began growing in the boot sills. Yuck.
Pretty much all of the paint is oxidised and is in no way shiny.

Nice, I actually have those same wheels on my other mirage.

If you’re going to paint it, I’d suggest painting the door frames black while you’re at it. Will make it look more slick!
