Headlight globe upgrade

Installed some 150+ Osram H4 globes into my Mirage, reporting the the improvement was very noticable.

Wouldn't make a huge difference in city driving were light can get washed out by street lights, but on country roads the difference was very noticably brighter.

These types of globes (Phillips Racing 150+ etc...) retail around $110 at Supercheap, but I found mine on eBay new for $37. Best aspect is they are 100% legal ADR approved plug and play.

Hey I upgraded my lamps but now my lights are pointing at the up into the tree tops lol any idea what this might be I think I bent the bit of metal holding the lamp in, out of whack so any insight would be helpful on making it so they point at the road lol

Can only think the globes are not seated properly in the housing or your spring clip is not on properly tilting the globe perhaps and messing up the alignment?

The OEM halogen bulbs needs to be in alignment in both the X, Y and Z axis to shine on the road in the correct spot. If you've replaced them with new halogens, then one of those alignments are out. If youve replaced them with HID or heaven-forbid LED, the XYZ will be out as well as the positioning of the light source.

There are also two adjuster dials on the headlight, that helps the light point closer together and higher or lower. At nighttime park 50m away from a wall (shopping centre is good for this), and slowly adjust the dials with a crosshead screwdriver to point them closer. Note that these knobs are for finetuning, and you'll only have a limited amount of movement of the light spread.

There is on some adjusters a hex head so you can use a socket as well it is pretty small if you have it like 6mm or smaller (the screw is inside the hex head IF you have them I vaguely remember 1 of my 2 adjusters had that but not both)
