Hey folks,

Not new to Mitsubishi, although in some respects I am. I was an apprentice waaaaaaaaaay back when the first Magnas' came out so I know a lot about the 2.6 Astron engine but not so much about more recent engines. (sadly I didn't finish my apprenticeship, stupidity of youth, kinda wish I did though).

So anyway, I recently got a 1.5 litre, 2000 model CE Lancer coupe in need of some TLC. Got a few engine issues but I'll post them in the appropriate area (rough idle basically).

Happy to find out that it drives kinda nice, it's fairly nippy, has very responsive steering, decent fuel economy and for its engine size it seems to do ok, though a bit more power would be great.

Anyway, is there anyone else around in NE NSW?

I've been involved in quite a few car specific clubs over the years including Club Calibra and the Frontera Owners Group when I was in the UK for 5 years. Would love to find out if there are any sociocultural meet ups etc...

Welcome aboard Sai,

Probably not many up your way. Although there’s a few people scattered along the mid-north coast.

We do an end of year meet(EOYM) each year, usually in Sydney if your ever keen to make the trip. This year’s is in a few weeks.

Looking forward to seeing a bit more.
