hey yall, first car and first post so plz don’t roast me

A couple months back I bought my first car, it’s a 2000 ce lancer mr coupe with the big 1.8, it’s fun and I love it but I’d love to get a bit more zip out of it

Problem is, I’m young and this is my first car, I’m a student and I work at McDonald’s so I’m a bit limited in the cash department

That said, I don’t want to cheap out, if y’all could chuck me some suggestions that won’t completely devastate my bank account it wouldn’t be appreciated

First thing would be upload a pic of the ole car

Highly recommend a rear sway bar from an fto as it really helps the rear stick to the ground
Good set of tyres and some coilovers. Doesn’t have to be brand new
Focus on drivability before aiming for power

If your mechanically minded do a front brake upgrade
