has anyone used Hurricane extractors for there 4G93 - I am looking at a set on ebay and they seem ok nice long tuned length 41mm pipes collecting under sump to a 21/4" flange...

I am hoping to have 21/2" collection at the flange..
willing to look at other options

Hi Christine, i have the stainless extractors that Res linked you, after i installed them i did notice the revs raised quicker than previously, also they have a kind of raspy, metallic sound to them and finally they do look really good, see my ride thread for pics.

Res they dont look too bad I like the engine diameter lot bigger than others I have looked at outlet going to cat is small i am just thinking I could probably get that part easily modded to the size I am wantng.. price is freaking awesome even with freight... cheers for that.

is the raspy metallic sound a good thing or a bad thing? is it very loud? I'd be worried about it sounding too tinny and not very good.

the raspy sound is because the metal is stainless steel its just how stainless exhaust parts sound, nothing wrong with it
its not usually overly loud unless u have a full stainless exhaust, and even then rasp is personal preferance, its better than it sounding farty

otherwise there are lots from the US, i'll try and find one with the measurments of each section
all of which are around the same price and size as the N*power ones, once postage is added

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-2002-MITSU ... ec&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/97-02-MITSUBISH ... d2&vxp=mtr

couldnt find any bigger ones

Damn that's cheap!!! With free postage! I really wonder how they make their money. Postage alone would be expensive, due to size and weight.

you have to make sure you are looking at the items with postage to australia selected, they are only usually free post within american and canada

You know if there's any cheap extractors like that for the 1.5ltr model?, I'm looking to get some myself

The other alternative is to get a stock setup take it to a pipe bender and get a set made up for similar costs

yes but look at the size of the holes they are small... 1.8lt engine I would look at 21/4" outlet with mild mods if you want or have wild mods cam etc 21/2" outlet
the size they are showing is suitable for a factory non modified car

I would honestly call both of those sets very expencive... You would be better off buying xforce ones if ur spending 3-400$
Cos atleast xforce bolt up with no cutting and look pretty in stainless

Other than those two, i cant find anymore extractors that will fit a 4g15 on ebay. Best deal is probably get hens extractor if your within NSW.

so here is another set of custom made extractors these look pretty damn good totally different style than what I am used to looking at and buying I am going to give these go.... they seem to fit the criteria as in size and performance and there is a nice review about this one and another popular brand.
you may have to sign up to see ths site.
