DIY: Projector Retrofit

^for those stressing about how hard it looks, I suggest go down to the wreckers and pick yourself up a second hand set of headlights cheap to practice retrofitting on.

Bake them, pull them apart and perform the retrofit to them. Do it across a few days and just practice and if you stuff one of the lenses well they're only cheap second hand ones so doesn't matter.

Then once you feel comfortable buy a new set and go mad ;) get your hands dirty and learn across the way, once you start DIY it's very rewarding :)

Also, if you are keen to buy your own or already have HIDs, you can buy just the projector cylinder and shrouds for $120 from TRS. The stagea 3 kit gives you top quality ballasts and bulbs and stuff.
I've already got HIDs on my car.. If I buy that do I just have to put actual projector into the headlight and will it fit no matter what HIDs are put on headlight?

the kits come with hids. you currently run a H4 hid kit... the projector comes with and only fits H1

1. depends where u buy from
2. yes you must get RHD otherwise the lights 'kick' will be shining into oncoming traffic instead of your side of the road

All up $373 Exactly same as what jazza posted but with 6000k globes and 70m halos, thats if they ever here

if you dont need halos I sell TRS replica kits for $160+post/pickup have all the gear TRS kits have just no halos

What's the go on picking the halo size? Is it just the diameter of the halo, so how big it sits in the housing or does it have a functional difference?

Depends on how big u want and where you want to install it

Looking at getting these soon, but I havnt seen many different people posting different types, e.g. 5000k, 6000k, or those people who did get halo's what size and how do they look?

Also what is postage price like?

I've got 4300k

Compared to halogen on left

I like it because it's clearer and whiter than halogen but still gentle on the eyes and warm.

I also got 4300k, due to being easier on the eye, brighter, and less noticeable/defectable.
6000k pure white, and is a very very pure and sharp light. It does get a little hard on the eyes after a while, as due to the light the colour is so harsh.
