CH Lancer Boxes

That's a real good question, i asked a similar question over 14 mths ago with no reply, the factory Mitsubishi part numbers for a lancer ch 2lt manual box is a different number to the Lancer ch vrx 2lt manual box, as is the 2.4lt ch manual box, my local mitsubishi dealer workshop foreman didnt know, neither did the transmission repair/gearbox exchange business i asked.
As of yet no body can tell me what the difference is, is it just minor cosmetic ext fittings/castings which cause part numbers to be different? Maybe someone who has done this swap recently like to weigh in on differences?

From what I have been able to find, is that the ratios are different, but the bell-housing is the same.

I'm getting a whole 2.0 CH lancer for the gearbox, so I'm hoping all will work for my project. I've been told I can use any gearbox from the 1.5-2.4, so it should be fine.

Would have preferred a 2.4 box, but when i'm offered a whole car for less then I'm selling my current gearbox, you can't really complain.
