AWD coupe vague questions

hey all, hoping someone here has a lil bit of knowlege on this.
my mates doing an engineering degree and in a few years time ill be able to get mates rates engie slips and good fabrication if all goes well.
curious about what would need to be done to a coupes floorpan to get space for transfer case, diffs etc as ive seen a few successful awd swaps.
could stuff be cut and reinforced or is this a job that needs a custom fabbed chassis? im aware that id need to basically buy an entire evo (or a cut) and im okay with that.

He did an AWD conversion himself and documented his journey from dealing with the wreck to engineered and racing, pretty involved stuff but the end results were totally worth it

cheers for this, was a really good read. it sounds like it will be easier to do on a coupe than a rage, still got a few years left on Ps but im aware of how much work it will be, i read thru the whole thread and the only thing i doubt i can do is the strut towers, can always pay an engie to do it though
