Could someone please fill me in on why my 4G93 has two Ignition Leads and 2 Coil Packs?..
Am i missing something? I thought the 4G93 had just the four Ignition Leads.
Call me stupid but I was genuinely surprised when i popped the bonnet on an MR i just bought.

Don't even think I'm supposed to be calling them Ignition Leads.. o_O

They're coil-on-plugs technically, with two outputs - one being directly below the coilpack, and one where an ignition lead connects to.

Huh. I've never seen that before. Is that common? hahah
If i was to go about buying coil packs, would it include the Leads?

Just a small question. Although it's obvious Iridium plugs would be better, would there be any gains besides reliability if i was to go with Iridium plugs over standard ones? At least in the case with a 4G93, I've read that the Coil Packs aren't exactly up to scratch..

Thanks

Iridium plugs will only offer long service life compared to run-of-the-mill copper plugs. Up to you if you want to spend more to save time on future service costs.

Standard 4G93 coilpacks are fine, i'm pushing double the kW of the stock engine and 14psi, and don't have any spark breakup

Much appreciated, I'll just throw in the standard ones.
