4g69 into a Mirage

Hey all, Im doing research into this swap before i start buying parts. One thing that Im worried about is losing the full function of the ECU. I intend to tune it myself using a tactrix and wouldnt want to lose anything.

Long story short,
Is it possible to wire up the 4g69 into the ce without losing any function?

Thanks in advance.

Ill be sure to take plenty pictures along the way.

the 4g69 uses fly by wire throttle and has 2x cats 2x o2 sensors. You can do so and retain stock ecu but you will have to marry several looms, untape a whole lot. It is not made for a CE chassis so the loom doesnt follow the same routes where it is secured to the body etc.
Also the ECU is mapped with constant fuel pressure as a returnless system. You can just convert it to a return system and not run vac reference so it stays 43.5psi base at all times.
I have helped many people perform this swap themselves even guys who have are stuck using a 1.8 engine harness. This simpler way requires my Adaptronic plug in ecu package. Its a full standalone ecu and i wire it and configure it to run Aircon as standard to run the ac fan and ac compressor. This way will plug straight into the 4 ECU connectors and fire right up.
I can advise where to wire if you need to know as a service with the kit. However I do not teach you how to do the job. If you want to put food on my table I can do that part.

It is easier to stay with CE chassis and body electrics and just run an ECU to run the engine as intended. It is the most straight forward way.
But if you want to make it complicated for yourself by all means that is your right.

Sadly not what I wanted to hear, but the truth often isnt. Keeping the ecu was something that was a high priority for me, I have had a lot of fun over the years playing with the ecu in my RA Colt.

I dont work for free mate i wouldnt expect you to. Ill send you a PM in regards to the Adaptronic, but i think an aftermarket ecu might be more than im looking to put in to this project.

The car was purchased with a dead engine to be a cheapish project to make a daily. I bought a mirage in the past and loved it but it was so slow. i thought with this set up i would have a mirage that would be fast enough with out having the inherent upkeep and added strain of a turbo.

4g69 conversion is worthwhile in my opinion

To put it in perspective, I went to a dyno day with my 4g93T Mirage and there was a CE coupe with a 4g69.
Both cars fairly stock, The coupe made a few more kw than my Mirage.
We went to the drags the next week and he pulled out a mid 13sec 1/4 mile first hit, while I was still doing consistent flat 14's.

It may not be a relatively easy upgrade, but such a good one.

The 4g69 appeals to me soooo much in the mirages' role as a daily. the question for me is will i be investing to much cash it to a car that is ultimatley a run about. I have a Ralliart Colt that i want put a new clutch and lsd in, too much spent on this one will take away from my toy car.

i want the torquey NA driveability for the daily commute and the high boosting for the hills or the track.

@Hens If i want to drop in a 4g69 into the mirage could you take a written off car and make the mirage think it is a lance replacing the dash and just wiring in all the acc controls inside the cabin just curious. if not how much is the plug and play ecu adaptronic
