2007 CH reverse lights not working

Help needed.. My reverse lights have stopped working.
I have been using multi-led bulbs for reverse lights for about a year and a half. Regardless... Resistance is not the issue as I have only noticed both of them going dim and flickering the past couple of weeks. Today they wouldn't light up at all. I switched back to normal bulbs to double check, and still nothing. I have also, checked and changed the fuse. Again...nothing.
I'm guessing it might be the switch, or whatever connected to the gearbox (manual, btw)?
Can someone please tell me if this could be the case, and if so.. what part(s) I need to replace.

I'm not good with electrics, so dumbing it down for me with some pics would be cool. TIA

Hi there, I will confirm tomorrow with the wiring diagram but it sounds like the reverse light switch might be failing. Can only be one of a few things, but I’ll make a proper reply later. For now, dont reverse infront of any cops or you’ll get a defect lol.

Hey mate. Any luck with this yet?
Cheers

So from the wiring diagrams power supply goes

Battery—> Fuse —> Reverse Switch —> taillight —> Earth.

Provided that you’ve already sorted the fuse; Easy test, unplug the reverse light switch pictured below. With the ignition on, Put a paper clip gently across the two pins of the wiring, and have someone check if the reverse lights come on. If they do, you need a new switch. If they dont you have a wiring break somewhere. You will need a multimeter and lots of patience to identify that.

Cool. What's the best way to access the switch? From inside the car with the gearbox/handbrake trim panels removed, or from underneath the car?
...or engine bay?

The switch is screwed into the gearbox itself in the engine bay. Box is on the right hand side, might have to take off the air filter to see it properly. It is more towards the front than the back.
