2000 CE Lancer Dash Lights NOT working!

Hey guys!

I just acquired a 2000 Lancer, none of the dash lights work, the lights on the gear shifter also dont work.

Any ideas?

a good starting point is to check fuses.

Turn up the brightness knob on the dash to full.

Or check the rheostat/brightness knob hasn't been disconnected. I usually forget to plug it in after working under the steering wheel and cluster lights won't go on
