What type of oil?

Axle stands have arrived, so I guess I'm committed to doing my first oil changes!

I think I understand the difference between 'normal' oil, semi-synthetic and fully syntheticengine oil, at least on a basic level. I'm assuming that the increased cost of synthetic means there are certain benefits. Am I going to see these benefits, either short term or long term, in my 20yo CE? Happy to pay the extra, if it is worth it.

Likewise with gearbox oil, is there a similar consideration, different types of oil I should consider?

To super overly simplify it, fully synthetic oil will last longer. Its built better, and has more additives in it that prevent it breaking down as easily from heat and contaminants.

Engine oil & filter done, gearbox oil done, air filter done

New spark plugs and leads fitted today too.
