Forums Seem Very Quiet.

Remember when I first joined the club and endeavored to put my two bits in.
I received what I felt, were some harsh accusations and demeaning criticism.
This nearly stopped me from offering any further entries.
Could this be in part why these forums are so quiet?

Another club where I am also a member. Hope its OK to mention the name.
Here goes! ClubCJ. Only kickback ie, cancelling the entry due to it being inappropriate
and a tap on the wrist. Consequently, The forums are alive and active, perhaps overboard at times.
You can find me there, I f your observant! Different name.

With a member here and there regularly entering 50 0r more entries a month!
There is even an entry in the forums called

TOP POSTER OF THE MONTH currently at 77 for this month.

Hey mate, good to know you have a group! What we are seeing more and more of is kids not wanting to join forums for information. Hell, some wont even google. They just post on facebook asking questions that have been answered.

This forum was pumping with predominantly CE owners, without much information on the newer gens as (at least back in the day) they were quite elitist and didnt want much to do with the older cars.
Being that your generation of lancer is what most P platers are getting their hands on more and more (can pick CJs up for 5 grand) theyre a much safer option for parents to get their kids into or approve of the child buying.

Most people left are a bit older and wiser and to be blatantly honest have a relationship outaide of the forum and message around.

Sometimes we just cant keep up with everyones group

lol, see what you mean, and fully agree, a pitty though, as this would in my mind be one of the best clubs around.
Personally I enjoy the time I've been with the club and will be staying here. Its members have given me so much,
Evan though I'm just a. hmmm, geriatric delinquent!

If anything youre an inspiration my friend, shows you never have to give up what you do for fun!

I’m old in life but new to the AusLancer forums.
Being involved in numerous hobbies and forum groups over time I agree that people are moving away from forums and established information contained in them. Realistically it is a move for the worse that I think will eventually turn around one day when people come to their senses. It is a circle of life thing.
I’m glad that there are still people here to help out newbies with their wealth of information. I have formulated a great plan for a building a cheap basic car with the details I have found here and tips from the experienced guys.
I guess it’s up to the current crop of Lancer fans to make sure we keep this forum alive.

Still here. Don't post as much. New wave of kids, facebook (which is really crap for info, great for sharing a photo and sh1t posting) and photo bucket really killed forums.

I remember back in 2012ish everyone use to jump on the minichat and the forum was pumping but as the years have gone on and prices have changed, P platers have moved onto CJ lancers and onto facebook. I still check in every once in a while but it has definitely changed.

Looks great!

I just walk past mine every morning. I will get back to it one day hehe

OOH! The guy who lent me the tool for the very first mod my car had! Lowering springs! how long has that been Amit? 9 / 10 years ago now!
