Remote central locking info - wiring.

Hi guys, just thought I'd post this in case anyone wants to do a remote central locking upgrade. I may do a DIY if there is enough demand.

On your lancer, under the driver's footwell, on the side of the fuse box, there is a plug that controls the stock central locking. You can pull out this plug, and it won't affect any thing apart from your locking. You can connect these wires to an aftermarket remote central locking kit. Here's what you need to know.

On your lancer.
Brown/yellow trace - lock memory
Brown/white trace - unlock memory
Blue/red trace - lock
Blue/black trace - unlock

Black - negative/earth constant
White - lock constant
Brown - unlock constant
Green- lock
Blue - unlock

Just match each wire up, run some 4mm twin wire from your battery to the locking unit, and you're done! Hope this helps anyone who wants to install remote central locking.

Note: your car must already have non remote central locking to do this.

It'd be nice to see some pics of this. I just spent all afternoon trying to figure it out and I got nowhere.

Hi,

I'm Kristian from Norway, and I just bought myself a Lancer. It's a 99 model 1,3l with 92 000km on the clock. I bought a remote locking kit from http://www.rclick.co.uk, but I'm having some trouble installing it, and thought maybe you could help.

This is the kit: http://www.rclick.co.uk/product_info.ph ... cts_id=809

I think this is the plug i need to install it in:

But I don't know what wires that should go where.
Here is the wiring-diagram from the product I bought.
