Wiring foglights!

Hey everyone, hoping someone can shed some...light... and help me figure out how to wire up my foglights.

So basically I have only bought driving lights that I tinted yellow. I want to wire them up to my High beams (actually to my low beams shhhh), with the oem foglight switch that I have.

My first question is: Do I keep the switch disconnected from the plug in my dash and wire my lights with the kit (below), somehow connecting that to a low beam wire?

Or: Do I connect the plug to the switch... And how do I wire the lights to that so it would work with the switch and high beams/make it work with low beams also?

Thanks :p

I think in my thread somewhere, or at least ive posted it, theres a wiring diagram for the OEM foglight switch.
Doeant really matter either way, just on how you'd like it hooked up

Why do you want to wire it to low beam? just curious? most are to high beam for trigger wire.

Anyway, if you want to wire it with the on/off switch, just use diagram 2 and replace high beam trigger wire with your low beam option. if you want to use the factory OEM switch, just interchange with the on/off switch as shown.

To be completely honest I want it on the low beams because it mainly is for looks so I would only need it on the lows because I don't need high beams often.
What do you mean by interchange? Do you mean just putting the wires from the kit switch into the oem one? If so, thats what I thought of doing, but there are 6 terminals, so confused as to which 3 I would need to use.

Sorry, basically thats what i meant was just swap the wires from your on/off switch to the equiv ones on the OEM switch, I would have to see a factory wiring diagram for a CE fog light wiring to answer that one as well as the 3 wire on/off switch wiring schematic, its much easier to do in person i guess than to explain it without seeing it or wiring diagrams. If you were in QLD i would just say pop around i guess, but vic a bit out of the way.
See if Donki's diagrams can help with that, failing that you could easily make up your own harness utilizing your OEM switch using just direct connect to battery/fuse/relay keeping it all under bonnet, all you would need is trigger wire connection low beam and OEM switch/return to relay.
I see if i can find a fog light factory CE wiring diagram and get back to you.

If I can get my hands on someone that knows how to wire things up then I'm sure they could help me with it. I do know how to wire things up but when there is a lot of connections and a lot of wires I get a bit tangled up. So thanks for the help, wiring diagram would be wicked :D

Oem switch is one and six or three and six for output for fogs. When im back in Australia ill have a look for my diagrams

Im not 100% on those outputs though, you'll need to check with a multimeter. I got that information years and years ago from the user @BR33TT that pops up every so often for a sticky beak :p

Mines relayed off the parkers for parking hard. I try to avoid using them cause vicpol likes to fine you for overuse
