Im a fan of the blacked out window frames and looks super neat with 25% tint ;)

Stock is best.
It'll look pretty bad in person IMHO if you paint them black.

Try vinyl wrap to begin with so you can reverse it

thanks all, sounds like nearly all like the black, so looks like black it will be.
Spetz, door surrounds are wider then most but don't see that as a problem, could try Plastidip for starters, I suppose!

With how much chrome striping you have I think the black looks very out of place, especially as the reason why most early Lancer owners black out their pillars is because they have it half/half from factory anyway (mostly coupe owners, black rear window and coloured door frame).
Black and chrome just seems so tacky. You already have black pillars so a dark tint is all you need. Try photoshopping your tint darker and see how that looks.

Hi rigby, actually there already is black pinstriping already on the car, running the full length of the car on the side just below the windows and that
fits in and tones in well. Can't see a problem. Wasn't aware earlier lancer owners had done this, very comforting, will go ahead and do it when ready.
Right shoulder out of action at the moment. Chrome on the car is just a narrow strip along the low line of the car as is on some up market cars and will move down the chain
but mine is minimalistic by comparison. Chrome on my boot is a hell of a lot less then the massive chrome bar at the bottom of the boot on the current model
and which was also exactly the same on an earlier CJ. Certainly more obvious and almost as much chrome then their is on my whole car.
Chrome on current and future model cars is increasing and I feel will keep on increasing!?

Every opinion counts and is appreciated. To each their own!
