Engine conversion 1.8l to 2.0l

It's the engine. It is a 4G94. It runs a little rough. Could it just be from sitting. And I will need to change spark plugs and oil and stuff. Kinda sounds like it has a little hiccup. If I work out how to upload a video with sound I will put it up and get you opinions.
Upload a video on youtube and then post the link :)

if it feels like its not running quite right even after service with new spark plugs, fuel filter and fresh tank of 98 ran through it i would start looking into it abit deeper .

Each engine has the ecu calibrated to suit, so may need a tune to get the full potential of the new engine! would be interesting to know if its running on the 1.8 ECU or the 2Ls one. i have seen the programming for the 1.8 and 2L side by side and they are similar enough that it would probably run, but would have hiccups here and there and not be as powerful as it should be.

check this out, if you can get the numbers off the CPU chip inside we will know for sure what can be done. but the number on the case may be enough info to tell.

the black cpu processor chip inside will be a MH7202F or MH7203FA if its a 4g93 ecu, the 4g94 uses a newer platform ecu shared with the evo 7 and newer with different circuit board and processor. still in the same black plastic case though.

Headlight fluid and elbow grease aside... dont try but and obd2 scanner tool from like ebay. You will just waste your money as they wont work with our cars. Even though we have an obd2 plug, mitsu used there own protocols which can only be read with like a evoscan setup and proper cables.
