CB GSR running on 2 cylinders

I recently bought a CB GSR and it's only running on 2 cylinders (cylinder 1 and 4). I checked for spark and it seemed as if the 2nd coil pack had died. I replaced the coil packs and the same coil pack wont give any spark. I've checked through the wiring and it all seems fine (the car is original with nothing after market). I checked the CAS (cam angle sensor) and that appears to be working fine so I'm left thinking that either my ECU or ICM (igition control module) is dead (my tacho also doesn't read correctly). I opened up my ecu and the 2 large capacitors in the group of 3 have been replaced at some point with smaller ones and the solder job is horrific. I have a spare ECU on it's way and I'll be picking up a new ICM next week (bloody bills sucked all my money and what was left bought new coil packs). I am in need of some opinions on what else I can check while I wait for pay day to roll back round.

There's no corrosion on any of the pins/plugs? Spark plugs are good? In my g93 coupe there was a wire near the intake mani on the opposite side of the throttle body, it was poorly soldered together and often came apart which would make the car run on 3 cyls or possibly 2 until I soldered it properly . That's the only other advice I have.

Pins and plugs are clean. Has new plugs and leads. The same coil isn't getting any spark whether its the new one or old one. I'll give the wire a look. Was it firewall side of the manifold?

Sorry mate I can't remember. Basically it went somewhere between the end of the intake mani and the distributor.

I know, was talking about the g93. Don't know much about 4g6 series

Bugger. I think it can only be the ecu or icm as both will cause me to lose ignition on a coil pack and both are needed for the tacho to be correct.

Don't worry I figured it out and swapped it for a known working one. Also found a diagram that shows timing marks and they are spot on so the last thing it can be is the ICM or wiring. The wiring looks fine but I haven't unwrapped it to check. I also did a compression test and it looks good. 1 is 208psi 2 is 209psi 3 is 210 and 4 is 205.

I replaced the icm and it's now running on all 4. After checking a few other bits I took it for a run and it is sweet.
