Hey All,

Went down to SCA to get some brake pads to change on my car considering I dont actually know when they were last changed. (iv never done it before)
Lady at SCA gave me a choice between generic cheap and nasty or Bendix premium pads so easy choice... but I was playing around yesterday and noticed the OEM pads are completly different and the Bendix ones and are longer too. Tried fitting them multiple ways but couldnt get close but it clearly states Evo 1-8 (f) on the box so before I go back to SCA and make a fool of myself trying to get a refund, can anyone confirm these are the right ones?

I checked on ebay and most of the after market pads looked like the Bendix ones, I tried to replace them using the work shop manual but the OEM ones are just 'slot in and off you go' so to speak.

Im an IT guy playing mechanic, so cut me a break on giving it a go if this seems simple. dont learn if you dont do. I felt pretty defeated after not being able to do this but luckily on my car there is a billion other things to fix

Wrong,

They will fit Evo 1-8 RS with the non-brembo calipers (ie the ones that came on the rally cars, no brembos, 16 inch wheels, not climate control, no electric windows etc)

Just get someone like Hens or Hieu (Yezz) etc to hook you up.

FYI< the pad is the same as Chrysler 300C and Redline SS Commy pads and many more.

Or you can take a pad from the car back to sca and swap the incorrect pads for the correct part number. This way no need for a refund just a swap.

Done and dusted, went down to SCA today and corrected the order, lesson learnt.
Will give it another go next weekend. Did notice one of the seals is looking pretty shagged so I might look at giving them a rebuild for *poo*s and gigs and a fresh coat of paint, black would look ninja as (with red brembo sticker)

*edit*

Also, so If i were to replace the rotors, what size front and rear would I need?

Brembos are like 320 or some *poo* aren't they? I'd hit up eBay haha

320mm for the front, 300s or so for the Rear, Theres a DBA website that tells you all the part numbers etc.
