what did you do on your car today???

No, 4G94's in Ch's never had a gasket from new, parts guy told me Mitsubishi did offer a "spare part" for extra $$ which was a small tube of silicone that was available when new in 2004, even that has been discontinued now, WTF ? , now you have to buy a tube of either RTV forch silicone or Locktite RTV blue max silicone, all i wanted was a lousy gasket with my water pump but no, now they all have to use silicone at $25-$35 dollars a tube for the correct stuff.
I was stunned when i found out last week when i picked up the w/pump from mitsubishi, it alone cost $250 and no fu##en gasket included for that price!

Yes rigby, that was my first thought as well, i thought originally it might cost around $130 - $150 from mitsubishi, then i figured the orig lasted 12 years and 170+ klms, so i justified it as only 40 cents a week for 12 years, than i felt better!

I should really do a water pump overhaul on mine, but first I need to get a drive belt that eliminates AC compressor

Searched for miss in the second CC coupe I have acquired. Started with a compression test, 145, 145, 140, 145 psi, a bit down on the 200+ new but 23 years and 260000 k's will do that. So not a piston issue.
Noticed a dark plug when we did the C test so replaced all plugs, not the fix.
pulled out the multi meter and checked the conductivity of the leads, all good.
Pulled out the timing light, sitting at about 6-7 degrees. The bible says should be 5 +- 2 so that's spot on.
Time scratch the head............
pulled the first lead off injector car almost stalls, second almost stalls, third minimal change, fourth almost stalls. You see where I'm going right...
Changed third injector to first, first minimal change when lead removed, all others almost stall.
Pull injector out of other car and swap.........Car runs great with no miss YAY
if only I checked the injectors first I wouldn't have taken half a day, but still it could have been worse than 1 cactus injector

Fitted some New/used shoes to the Mirage and Popped Super Low Springs in it.
Slowly getting there..

Better late then never done last Friday. Had new tyres fitted Bridgestone Turanza serenity plus, one size up 215 60 16 .Reasons for 215 as against original 205 are better ride comfort., more contact
but also big factor price 205 $169 each 215 $129 each, both buy 3 get fourth free. Total cost $325 and further discount for my tyres. Understand fuel economy could be worse but not an issue with me.

Original Yokoharma Advan A-460 had only done 3000km but couldn't stand the noise, so out they went and boy what a difference, peace and quiet.

With sound deadening already done prior and Wheel wells next then doors and interior floor but not as urgent as we can now hold normal conversations front to rear and with one another in the back seats.
Hopefully will achieve ability to converse in whispers at top highway speeds when all sound deadening is done. Hear the clock ticking, oops there isn't one of those. Was possible in my 1974 P76 V8

Fitted chrome wheel arch moulding to plastic inserts on side window sills. Looks great, similar to LS.

Actually yesterday washed the car and finished off polishing it. Neibour popped over and was really impressed with the super smooth glossy finish.
Another one hooked on Zaino 2 pro. He is a car buff and His car is a near new BMW. He also liked the easy, lightly wipe on and lightly wipe off application.

Sedan rear window sun visor on my CE coupe.

Checked speedo against GPS. GPS 59 kph speedo 60kph, GPS 98kph speedo 100kph. Pleasant surprise as I went up a tyre size.
Unfortunately didn't check before change so must have been under by approx: twice that amount.

Broke it somehow lol

I think the TPS or IACV is gone, when sitting at idle it hovers around 1800-2000rpm, or when coming to a stop it'll drop to 4-600 or stall, but totally fine when driving. When moving at speed, but in neutral it cycles from 800-2000rpm. fml
