Correct Coolant for 4G93?

Since no one is answering this on my ride thread I just need to know ASAP.

What is the correct coolant type for the 4G93?
I know there is a type A and type B depending on the year of the car.

Also how much will I need?
And should I flush the block now I have the thermo out?

I used some cheap Woolies stuff to get it running last week but the thermo didn't seem to kick in so I check that and it appears to be working, although I will be replacing it now it's out.

The only open a few mm right?

Can the wrong coolant lead to the system not working 100%?

Thermo only kicks in when coolant temps reach something like 87*c, so you'll need to be idling for around 30mins for that.

I usually buy concentrate from Techtaloy whatever (1L 100% makes up to 5-7L @ 50%, give or take), and dilute it with normal tap water (you guys in other states might want to use proper distilled stuff, cause of harder water & corrosion). Just read the coolant bottle and see what years it suits.

Thanks.

My only concerns with leaving it idle that long is a) there was vapors coming from around the ex manifold and b) the hopefully cured oil leak around the timing.

I'll do a flush but need to know how much coolant the whole system will take, the empty rad took almost 5lt plus what when into the head/block when filling.

IIRC, 5.5L for the CEs, give or take. A minor amount of tap water isnt going to do *poo* corrosion-wise when youve got a 50/50 mix of water and coolant.

Unless the vapours are petrol, i would have zero concerns - being around the exhaust manifold, i highly doubt it would be fuel.
