How does one differentiate CE1/2/3 sedans?
Easiest way to tell is by the boot. CE1 has flat tail lights and a rectangular hole in the boot that you can put reflectors in. CE2 and 3 are a flat boot with a small kink in it ad kinked tail lights. Also the front bumper/grill/bonnet is different. On CE1 the bonnet has a dip in it where it meets the headlights and grill. On CE2/3 it is completely flush with the headlights and grill.

Yep. It would be a 4g92 gearbox , would need the box and flywheel I assume. They are old as fark though, would not recommend.
Any reason in particular why you wouldn't recommend, are the ratios crap or something? Found one with low kms and for a decent price that's all.

Actually you would need the TCU as well since it's a totally different box. Direct these questions to EVL20T, he will have more answers than I do

Is there a thread on here for what parts from an FTO/Proton etc. will fit into a CE lancer? I've tried multiple searches (probably using the wrong keyword...) and nothing comes up. Put into google though and a thread for auslancer pops up, but it won't open???

It'll be in specific upgrade sections.

Brakes are the biggest thing to take. Or take the hubs as well if you want to go 5 stud. Can also take the seats out of an FTO if you put them on new rails. Steering wheels fit. Could do climate control if you're really tech savvy.
Proton can donate it's rear disc brakes depending on the model. As well as a few things, hard to know without model.

FTO and proton swaybars will bolt in providing you have the correct LCA's for them too.

Hey guys, I've tried searching for a solution but I think it's so "easy" it hasn't been mentioned.

Trying to remove my power mirrors and for the life of me I can't work out how to disconnect the wiring from the connector. I've tried both sides to make sure the issue wasn't isolated to one mirror and still no dice.

Any recommendations?

So you want the wires out of the plug... Or you want the plug out of the door harness? There's a little tab for that. It might take some shimmying but it'll come off. From memory if they're stock it'll have some black foam padding around it that might make it hard to see

I imagine out of the door harness to feed the small segment of cable through and out with the mirror. I did end up undoing the black foam to locate the tab but it's refusing to budge. I guess I'll need to put on some Barry White to relax it for more shimmying. Cheers

Not sure if they work WITH them but you can REPLACE them and it bolts in fine
