Good source of parts?

Hey. I'm in need of a couple of parts for my newly-acquired 2000 Lancer VR-X. This car was supposed to be a cheap stop-gap for me but after only a couple of weeks I can see myself keeping hold of this thing for a long while yet :)

My VR-X badge on the back is mostly worn away, and one of the roof trim strips is missing.

I got a quote from my local Mitsubishi dealership yesterday who said the parts are available, but megabucks... Like $800 (and a long wait)!!!

I'm awaiting a response from the local wreckers. There was an ebay seller who had a vr-x sticker for just $8 but I procrastinated and they're no longer available.

Any suggestions on where I might find the bits I'm after (and anything else in future)?

Cheers,
Scott

In terms of car parts and other stuff like that
Mostly eBay is what I use providing it doesn’t look dodgy.
Gum tree is another good one
But local pick a part or diy wreckers can also be a great way to find certain parts
Cheers

A genuine VRX sticker might be a bit tricky to source but have you thought about upgrading it to a badge and getting it off something like a CH or CJ VRX lancer? either that or you can find places that print vinyl stickers to order which might be an option too.

As for those weather strips on the roof your local wreckers will be the best bet but you may also need to get new clips to attach it to the car and the strip as they will most likely break as they remove the weather strip from an existing vehicle. Do you have any public access wreckers around you like Pick n' Payless here in sydney?

I think i have a full set of clips in the garage if you cant source them but id have to go digging for em

Pretty much the above, just keep your eyes peeled on eBay, Gumtree and your local wreckers.
I do find that eBay is good and bad, some bargains can be found but there are quite a few wreckers selling online and will have huge money on their prices. It can also inflate the cost of others who want a pay day.

Theres also quite a few good sales groups on Facebook and keep an eye to Facebook market place for your local area.
A few below to get you started ;)

Sorry I missed this reply somehow. That's a great list, thank you :)
