4g15 throttle body on 4g93?

Hey guys I've been trying to find a throttle body for a 4g93 but have had no luck and I'm wandering will a throttle body off a 4g15 work being off the smaller engine?

It'll work, the g15 tb is only a tad smaller. Keep in mind it might idle funny without the g93 IACV and TPS calibrated properly.

If your brake booster has a hole or not working then that might be the issue
Just replace it with a same size tube and you might be fine
Local super cheap auto might have the same size

Will be the easiest thing to try and fix. The iacv might be fine. And would swap the throttles to much worry’s haha

It's definately not the brake booster hose just put a different one on and it didn't change, this is really annoying me it's been like this since I got the car

Can you hear any leaks at all when the car is on.?
I don't think so but it's hard to hear over the dumb cannon while it's idling so hight, sometimes while changing gears the revs go up slightly and I'll be cruising at 50-60 and the revs will drop like it's lost power till you touch the pedal again if that helps

When you push down on the throttle cable while it’s off does the cable go down or is it fairly stiff?

Are all the intake pipes in correctly. No leaks or holes in the pipes. Also is the Airflow sensor plugged in.
Check the spark plugs and air filter.
Almost anything can cause the revving issue. Might aswell check as much as possible on the car

Yea that's all fine, how do u check the idle speed?

Idle speed should be around 750-900 usually. That’s what my one used to idle at

Is there a way to adjust the idle,I just don't get it if u pull up in drive it idles at about 1k but in park it idles at 2k but only when it's warm

Its the idle control valve tuning that adjusts all of that. Its a 3d table of information of idle steps of the idle solenoid that will move in millimeter increments to adjust idle, based on coolant temp, MAF air temp, vehicle speed, and a few other variables. The ECU mapping is fine, if the valve goes bad, then the idle will be *fudge*ed under certain situations.

There is the BISS (Base Idle Setting Screw) that will adjust over the entire RPM range. However it is a global setting, and will cause your overall RPM to change. If you adjust it, your cold idle will go to like 500rpm, but your warm idle will be normal-ish at 1k rpm. There is no easy way to adjust the BISS without ruining every other rpm scenario. I highly recommend not touching the BISS, because its near impossible to rectify it again, but if you must its a philips screw on the top of the throttlebody. Let the car get to your rpm problem range, and then adjust it, and pray that it hasnt ruined your other rpm areas

If I was to replace the iacv will I need the whole housing with the black sensor thing or just the black part?

Only need the black sensor itself. Its three philips head screws, and pretty much a 30second job to swap them out. Brand new theyre pretty expensive, but second hand they better, but might not live long. Ive ordered chinese knockoff ones before, but theyre out of spec (resistance is too high on the pins), so that was no good.
